The House Shirt

A single cut, developed with intention, and repeated with consistency. It is not designed to sit apart, but to become part of daily life.

The shape is relaxed, though never loose without purpose. It follows the body softly, allowing space where needed, holding line where it matters. The collar is gently constructed, designed to fall open with ease rather than hold a fixed position. Mother of pearl buttons add a subtle point of light, otherwise everything is kept restrained.

It is a shirt meant to be worn often, and without thought. Taken from one wardrobe to another. Worn by him, then by her. It carries no strict sense of ownership, only familiarity. Over time, it becomes less defined by its making, and more by how it is lived in. Offered in a considered range of cloths, each selected for how it softens, breathes, and ages.

Available made to order or made to measure, though always grounded in the same house expression.

Craft

Each shirt begins in Portugal, within a small, family-run workshop where the process remains close to the hand. Production is not scaled for speed, but held at a pace that allows attention to remain intact. One shirt at a time, cut, assembled, and finished by makers who have spent years refining the same gestures.

The construction follows a considered approach. Single-needle stitching throughout, clean and precise. Collars are softly built, designed to shape themselves through wear rather than resist it. Mother of pearl buttons, not for display, but for durability over time.

There is no separation between design and making. The same workshop that receives the cloth carries it through to completion, without fragmentation or excess handling. What results is a garment that feels continuous in its construction, measured, balanced, and quietly resolved.
